The Foundation Sara Albuquerque Costa, an institution which assists the children and adolescents with cancer, took place on July 24 launch event for the design of the new subsidiary of Foundation Sara in Belo Horizonte. The event was attended by oncologists, figures from the health sector, employees and directors of the Foundation Sara, who gave details about the implementation of the new House of support the institution in Belo Horizonte.
The expansion of its service is a big step for Foundation Sara, an institution that is more than ten years in operation in the fight against childhood cancer and has assisted more than 400 children and adolescents.
Foundation Sara began its activities in Belo Horizonte with four major projects. The first is the establishment of the House support the Foundation's Sara BH, which has been leased and is now in stage adaptations of mobile environments and to welcome new residents.
The second major project is the coordination of McHappy Day 2009, which will be held on August 29 and will have all revenues from the sale of Big Macs in 21 McDonald's restaurants in Belo Horizonte donated to the Foundation Sara.
The third project is the deployment of resources McHappy Day in the "United States to humanize - Santa Casa BH". The Foundation Sara, through partnership with the Ronald McDonald House and Santa, will promote reform in pediatric oncology, Santa Casa de Belo Horizonte with investments of $ 250,000.00.
The fourth project is the expansion of the "Early Diagnosis", which this year, and Montes Claros, expand training for professionals in PSFs towns of Lagoa Santa and Matozinhos diagnose the early signs and symptoms of cancer.
These initiatives mean that Foundation Sara will provide assistance to children around the state of Minas Gerais, rather than just regional to become a state entity.
