Message from God
Once an angel visited our home.
He arrived just as nonchalantly.
Was coming in and settling down quietly.
Since only an angel can do.
Came disguised as a boy

But waiting for the best moment

OUR HISTORY
Established on June 30, 1998, Support House opened on January 16, 1999, to receive and assist children and adolescents with cancer and hematologic disabilities and their companions, coming, in principle, the whole northern region of Minas Gerais and southern Bahia.
The Foundation was conceived by Sara Gaspar Alvaro Costa, current president of the institution, and his wife Marlene Cavalcanti Albuquerque Costa, vice president, who lived together out of the difficulty of Montes Claros in search of cancer treatment of his daughter Sara in other Albuquerque Costa treatment centers (Belo Horizonte and Sao Paulo). During treatment, the couple had support of friends and support the cities through which passed. For this reason, during the two years of treatment of small-Sara, the couple realized the difficulties in leaving your city to perform a treatment. It began when the idealization of a project which would help diminish the pain and the poor families of Northern Mines.
In need of transplantation, Sara was sent to Sao Paulo. Montes Claros, friends and colleagues started the campaign "Save the life of Sara" to raise funds for the expensive bone marrow transplant. Unfortunately, little Sara could not resist the preparation for the transplant and went to heaven on 22/11/1997. His parents returned to Montes Claros, and immediately, with the support of friends, began the process for creating the Foundation that bears the name of the daughter.
