The Foundation Sara Albuquerque Coast to aid children with cancer, which welcomes children being treated in Montes Claros, giving them and their family accommodations, assistance, affection and strength to face difficult times, will lead his outstanding social work also for Belo Horizonte, which is implementing four new projects. The information was given yesterday by President Alvaro Gaspar Costa, who receives the press today to talk about this new phase.

The first project is the creation of the Foundation Sara home in the capital, initially with 20 accommodations. The property (in the Bairro São Lucas) has been hired and passes the necessary adjustments. The reform of the pediatric oncology of the Holy House, in partnership with the Ronald MacDonald (RJ), is the second project of the Foundation in Belo Horizonte. The institute enters the resources, about $ 250 thousand, and the foundation oversees the work.

The third project is the coordination of Mac Happy Day on 25 network MacDonald's restaurants in Belo Horizonte, with income donated to fund the works of pediatric oncology. The fourth project will meet Matozinhos in the metropolitan region: Foundation Sara technicians will train health workers in how to make the early diagnosis of cancer, because the earlier the disease is discovered, the greater the chances of cure.

President Alvaro Gaspar Costa said the expansion of the Foundation Sara to Belo Horizonte is necessary for cases in which the treatments are performed in the capital. The foundation does not have public resources in this endeavor. The partnership is only with MacDonald. The remaining funds required comes from donations and promotional activities with the support of the community.
